We booked for Christmas day lunch, and it was fantastic. The staff were exceptional, professional and friendly. The chef's served three superb courses. Tasty homemade soup, venison and turkey dinners were really nice, plenty of freshly cooked vegetables, parsnips carrots and potatoes. Excellent. Finished off with a good selection of a cheese board. Overall the ambience was fantastic, a lovely country pub feel, cozy and warm. Well done all at the Tawny Owl, we loved it.
We called off at the tawny owl for some lunch after been to choose our Christmas tree 🎄 We were met by a lovely friend your girl that took our order and served us. The food was good and not over priced. The open fire 🔥 was lit and looked amazing. One of the main reasons we choose the owl is because it's dog friendly so out collie was happy too and was given a treat or 2. Will definitely 💯 go again
Had dinner again here and luckily our server was Charlie again. A lovely person as ever, very helpful, professional and friendly. We had the orange duck parfait as a starter again since it has become my husband’s favorite and a sirloin steak and the duo lamb. Everything was perfect as usual, the food came in a timely manner and all delicious as expected. Highly recommended place to come with friends, family, and date nights.
Only our second visit but my wife and I will definitely be back. Great service, friendly, pleasant staff, the food is top quality, shouldn't really have had the pudding but we did and it was spot on. A very nice venue with ample parking. Well worth the 5 stars I have given.
Pretty regular customer (birthdays, meals out, etc) and food is always delicious. Went for the Christmas Menu with family and it was next level. The portions were huge! The vegetables were cooked to perfection and full of flavour, the gravy was hot and right consistency, the turkey was juicy! I can't remember the last time I truly enjoyed turkey (I usually just know it's quite a dry meat and am OK with that as I only really eat it at Christmas). I was so full from lunch time, I didn't eat again that day. Friendly staff, timely service and beautiful layout, nicely decorated and maintained log fires.
