great all week round but best day is Tuesday as that's when the quiz master ruth does her weekly quiz and bingo. plus good well-behaved dog are aloud.
I've been to the North Star plenty, the staff are always friendly, the service was quick, the food was great. It's an Ember inn, so I got the mixed grill, which is mega, but hits the spot. The atmosphere was inviting, and It was baltic when I rocked up, but the pub was warm and seemed pretty family friendly. Would happily drop it again.
My scout group meet here regularly for meetings and we always recieve great service. We have had Christmas meals and will always go back again. I am also a member of the local running group and we meet there every week. The welcoming atmosphere and friendly staff is always the same. Great service. They need to be given some Money from senior management to help with the upkeep of the building, toilets and furniture before it gets worse!
The time the food takes to arrive is astonishing. Constantly chasing to see when food would arrive. It wasn't heaving at all so it was unclear why it was so delayed. The food was nice as always but this will be the last time we visit you. The toilets need attention. So many cobwebs and dust and dirt along the skirting. They look very grotty they need a thorough inspection and a clean. The disabled toilet was equally dirty and it isn't an environment you even want to do your business in. Please can someone look at this feedback and action it please? The toilets are a simple fix
Pub Specific Review: £££ Your very standard local. If you're looking for a bog standard local pub then this is perfect for you. Great Garden Space, Great Staff and a Nice Venue. you walk in to a good team who are happy to serve and chat with good brewed beer and fair prices. Good food deals and an ok eat. We'll be back as its again a decent local.
