Visited on Saturday tea time, 5.30pm. We were surprised at how busy it was. A lovely lady showed us to a table upstairs, as the bar area was already full. Good menu to choose from and good friendly service. I had chilli con carne with rice and hand cut chips, my husband had Cumberland sausage with mustard mash, onion and red wine gravy and fresh vegetables. Plentiful portions and very nice too. Good value for money and will definitely visit again.
Came here for an evening meal while on holiday nearby. The food was fantastic, I had the pork medallions which were amazing. Very welcoming atmosphere in a great looking local pub. I would have no hesitation visiting again next time I’m here.
Family of 4 thoroughly enjoyed this meal. Little Kenny had the sausage selection from the kids menu and said "that was well good". He had just enough room for ice cream which he said "very special". His big brother and the grown ups really enjoyed the food too. Generous portions of delicious food served piping hot. Clean plates all round. Best meal out we've had in a long time!
Fantastic food and beer. Dog friendly. The barmaid was great. She loved our dog. He got 2 treats. Nice and refreshing interior after takeover. Friendly staff. Our regular again.
