Well the history was that witches used to be burnt here! Must visit for the aura and the view. Did not have food, but the crips are totally worth it
After visiting and exploring Norwich I though it’s time to stop and have a good pint of beer, the bar staff was very friendly and welcoming and very good choice of beers and ales, the prices were very good and they have great siting area outside. It was very nice to have a cold drink and peaceful and quiet outside area. Plenty of space for sitting inside and outside.
I asked for tap water as I just had my phone repaired and couldn’t use contactless, I don’t really use cash these days, I was exhausted as I had to rush out i don’t drive, theirs a steep hill in this area and I was knackered, lovely lady served me no problems i know it was a very random visit but it was a hot summers day and I was gasping for water thank you to the lady at the bar!
Great staff, very good selection of real ales and Camera discount. A must visit pub.
Nice pub on the outskirts of Norwich with outside garden and friendly barman and and toasty fireplaces for winter xx

A relaxed and friendly city center pub, on the river with a village feel. We're very close to Norwich Cathedral.
