Located just outside the Broadland village of Salhouse, This quaint pub lies within easy distance of a shop, a café, a garden centre, its very own broad (Salhouse Broad), and a train station (the Bittern Line) serving nearby Norwich and Wroxham.
We had a fantastic lunch at the Stag. Warm and friendly service with a very decent chef cooking his take on the traditional pub food options. I would recommend the game suet pudding.
The stag is a gorgeous gem in Norfolk to eat, drink and socialise. The interior is beautiful, and the service was top tier, Alex really looked after us and made sure we were having a great time. The food is amazing, unintentionally having 3 courses every time we’ve been because it’s so good! I can’t recommend this place enough ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Was worth waiting to get in for! Transformation is very tastefully done.. Beautiful family dinner everybody’s food was delicious- service with a smile and attentive to everyone’s needs - menu was just right not too much choice but was still hard to pick! Will have to go again then! - superb job all round thank you to all the staff
Amazing Sunday dinner, first visit since the takeover and makeover. On entry friendly staff, drinks were very good! Sunday Roast was absolutely superb, in fact one of the best Sunday dinners we have experienced. The Desert was also amazing, very tasty! Keep up the good work and friendly service! Stunning pub with beautiful decor. Food is 10/10 amazing, the Sunday roast dinners are the best you will get in miles, and the pizzas made in the pizza ovens are definitely top tier. The food is very beautifully and uniquely presented, and you can tell a lot of care went in to each and every dish. The menu has very clearly been well thought out, offering a wide variety of different food. The staff are so friendly and professional, and they treat everyone like a family as soon as they walk in the door. Everyone is welcome and there is such a nice vibe around the pub. Everywhere is super clean and tidy. Definitely very impressed with the new pub and will definitely become a regular. Well done everyone involved! Xx
