Great pub! Great pub food: fish and chips, just perfect, cheese burger, nice and filling just the way I like. Certainly kind and friendly staff. Just called them half an hour before arrival and we've got the best place anyone can ask for in a pub, right next to the fireplace. I enjoyed a lot the food and the atmosphere. The place has a character, but not overly done. I can only recommend.
Five of us went for meal 01/12/23. Very busy but we had booked and the welcome was good. Food excellent. There was a problem with one meal that was swiftly and professionally dealt with. Good menu choices. Friendly helpful staff. Definitely book on popular times.
Super nice place, lovely food, decent beer, very nice staff. Lovely atmosphere, went with landlords of another pub also called the greyhound, clearly the best of the pub names. Kind of wanted 'The Clock Table' to be made of an actual clock, but we can't have everything can we. Also enjoyed a laminated sign above a particular table that proclaimed it was, presumably permanently, reserved for the landlord and landlady. I like the idea of a de facto pub throne.
We went for an evening meal here. The pub kindly allowed us to eat a little late as we had an online meeting that evening. We had a magnificent prawn and crayfish salad and fish pie followed by Sicilian lemon sponge. The food was good . The pub was busy so you definitely need to book meals in advance - it is the only pub in the village. Prices were reasonable though the wine wasn't cheap.Parking can be difficult when the pub is very busy. Service was excellent and the pub has a traditional atmosphere with low ceilings.
Another great dog friendly pub on our Norfolk holiday. Had a great meal and drink here. Staff really welcoming and friendly. Had a great table by there open fire and dogs settled by the fire. Had the sirloin steak and asked if I could have pepper sauce as wasnt on the menu. Out came the biggest jug of pepper sauce with my steak you could imagine, and the portion sizes were very good for all the meals. Mrs had the steak and kidney pie and was a proper slice of pie, again it was a decent size meal. Really wanted to try the puddings as I had my eye on the Sicilian sponge pudding but no room left after the steak. Did see someone else have it and looked amazing and a huge pie of sponge, maybe next time. Recommend you book to avoid disappointment.
