Proper country pub, friendly atmosphere, and well behaved dogs welcome. Food is excellent. Good beer. Not cheap but worth the money.

Poor experience all round. Arrived to be told table wasn't booked, quickly dealt with by another member of staff. Orders taken. Food arrived all in one go except mine ,so had to wait 10 minutes for fish and chips, if they could have found a smaller piece of cod I would have been impressed, hiding the size of cod in inches of batter didn't win me over either. Ordered a gran marnier drink and given a Cointreau being told that's the closest we have! Come on!! Can do better I'm sure.

Astonishing. Midwinter needs great food and beer. Poppy loved it for the free dog biscuits, Jane for the handwritten sign and a massive slab of Biscoff Tart. Everyone happy and the chance to walk it all off at the wonderful Shouldham Warren. Hidden gems....Early Summer now, and the warren, voluptuous, welcoming

Lovely sunday roast dinner at a reasonable price. Dog friendly, and very helpful staff. Food was delicious and it had a great atmosphere. Would suggest reserving a table ahead of time as it gets busy.

This a lovely pub situated in a very pretty village. The bar has a great range of real ales. There is an ever changing dining menu, all of which sound delicious. I had a starter of chicken goujons with a festive mayonnaise dip. For my main course I had the the beef and ale pie, mange tout and new potatoes. The pie had beautiful rich gravy and a light shortcrust pastry top. The bar staff were very pleasant and polite. I can't fault the place. I will certainly be visiting here again!
