Village pub with an olde worlde feel given by the mixture of wood panelling, bare stone and brick finishes. The public bar area has an impressive large horseshoe counter and is joined to a carpeted lounge. There is also a function/games room. The menu features mainly homemade food with traditional pub classics such as Steak Pie, Fish & Chips, Mac and Cheese, Burgers along with vegitarian options. Most mains are under ₤10. There is also a Sunday Roast and regular specials on other days. The Kids menu offers a main, drink & ice cream for ₤4.99.

A great local. All members of staff were lovely to chat to. We didn't have food but it smelt amazing. Fab function room for parties.

When you go to a restaurant, for something to eat, you don't want to ask someone to take your order, or salt and pepper for your bread, or your tea or cola. You would think the staff would know what the soup is each day or that there is something off the menu, when you have waited so long to tell her! It is only commonsense when you are serving meals. The food when it did come out was very good, tasty and hot, I would go back for the food,but the service...... If they even acknowledged me being there, She saw me come in and so did the manager and they both ignored me until a customer had to say I was there. disappointing

We arrived after lunch, but the kitchen is closed Monday to Wednesday anyway. Friendly and welcoming staff, Dog-friendly and nicely furnished. Coffee okay by UK standards. Mens' toilets are clean but broken.

Stopped off here after a day at Conifox Adventure Park as we'd seen it on our way in and it was close. Service was great, lovely staff and nicely decorated restaurant area. Food was really fantastic - we all loved everything we ordered!
