I attend here for work frequently (I am a local face painter), and the staff are friendly. The atmosphere is great. It is a family-friendly venue. They frequently host fundays, live singers and other entertainment.
Stayed here last night and left early this morning. It is a lovely sight and don't mind noise on a night but kids were throwing things at tent and running off and adults urinating near enough on our tent so just left.
This review is for the camp site exclusively. The pitches were good quality, but I found that there was a lot of noise during the night. The toilets were too few for the number of pitches (one male, one female, for the whole campsite). The showers require extra payment. There is a small sink for doing dishes and a couple of charging connections for a quick phone charge in the "kitchen". There is a nearby road and traffic can be heard from the tents, although it isn't annoyingly loud. I would not recommend the site for hikers, but it's ok for family holidays. Dogs are ok.
Stayed overnight as close to my delivery. Non electric grass pitch on border of playing field £10 bargain. Close ish to main road, so traffic noise is audible. Family friendly site with some inflatable castles etc for the kids. On site cafe with alcohol, soft drinks, cooked food and snacks available. There is a shower and toilet in the cafe block and portaloos around the perimeter of the camp area. The site is about 30mins walk from the beach, but I did not attempt this a as I arrived late. There is also a gate to the camp site which is closed after 11pm and opened at 7.30 am although I managed to leave earlier, it would be prudent to make sure you can enter/exit at the time you require. what3words to entrance. dozen.robots.basin
