About us

Great on a summers day with our gorgeous back garden
A traditional picturesque pub located in a prominent position from the main road and at the corner of Ham Green. Established in 1756, the New Inn, as the name implies, replaced a previous pub called the White Hart, built in 1642. Behind the Georgian frontage lies a comfortable and relaxing pub, arranged around a central bar, decorated in a traditional style. Outside wooden seating and tables are provided at the front over looking the Green. There is also a large walled courtyard garden at the rear.

Honestly, one of the best pubs in Southwest London. I really hope that the new owners respect the locals and don’t change too much/too quickly.

Fantastic pub. The best in the area. Great vibe indoors, great garden during summer. Good home available from atmosphere.

Stopped here for lunch and had a great meal and service. The fish and chips was excellent with home-made batter and home-made tartare sauce and nicely cooked so that the fish was still moist. The salmon and dill fish cakes were fresh and tasty. There is a nice courtyard garden at the rear to sit in the sun. We’ll above average pub. Recommended.

Generally very bad. First of all the tables and general area were very unclean, specks of leftover food, drops of drink and whatever else had accumulated. When we asked the server for a clean they took an old damp cloth and rubbed it over on one corner of the table cleaning nothing, overall his attitude was rather lazy, although I attribute that to lack of experience. Then after we were ready to order we asked for a goats cheese salad, salmon with potatoes, one burger with cheese, no onions, no tomatoes and no pickles and one burger with bacon, no onions and no tomatoes. When the food arrived the salmon and the salad were fine, no complaints about either of those, however the burgers were completely messed up, wrong toppings, both bacon and cheese on both, both had onion, etc etc. Completely messed up. As for the taste of said burgers it was awful, for 17.95 a piece the quality was terrible. The patty tasted like a soggy sponge, the bacon was rubbery, very little of the homemade sauce and overall poor quality condiments. The the prices were audacious to say the least. If they had been half that I could understand slightly haphazard presentation and lower quality, but at those prices it was outrageous. Luckily they didn’t charge us for the extras we never ordered and we ended up leaving soon after, paying a bill of over £100, for poor food, mediocre service and a rather bad experience in general

Lovely traditional pub, situated next to Ham Common and close to Richmond Park. This family run pub offered up a great selection of beers and ales as well as a nice food menu. The staff were great and very attentive, and the food arrived quickly. The portion was generous and the food overall was nicely presented and tasty
