The New Inn is in the centre of Tywardreath and was built in 1775. The Pub has a friendly warm atmosphere with fires to enjoy in the winter months and a large garden for hot summer days.
The New Inn received the Environmentally Sustainable Business of the Year accolade at the St Austell Brewery Estate Awards 2009 and have in 2014 been named Village Pub of the Year by CAMRA Kernow.
Best pub in the village. Top quality food (not the cheapest, but good portions and better menu choices). Good beer (although mostly St Austell ales).
Family birthday get together 6 + 2 children. Amazing food, huge portions. Really helpful with ALLERGIES, They double CHECKED. Mussels were particularly good and the fish stew. Service was excellent and will definitely eat here again.
Lovely old pub with oodles of charm and character. Big outdoor seating area with a separate area for smokers (which I really appreciate as a non-smoker). Really nice Sunday roast. Great pub for dogs.
Nice pub with a few different rooms and seating outdoors. Standard Cornish Ales. Food is excellent quality and well cooked - presentation of food is a bit pretentious but very tasty. Only downside is the Musak both in the pub and in the garden - totally unnecessary in my view and not to my taste.
This is an absolute gem of a pub. The food and service was top notch. I ordered the pork belly which was sensational and my husband had the steak which was cooked to his liking and had onion rings that were to DIE for. I was pleased to see that the children's menu was not the usual beige fare rather child sized portions of the adult menu which my son loved because it made him feel like a grown up. We will certainly be back because I need to try the desserts. Well worth a trip but please book in advance because Monday was busy (another sure sign of an amazing venue)
