About us

The New Inn is unashamedly all about really good food and drink.

Jeremy's background is rooted in providing first-class hospitality on all levels and he has worked with many of the big household names that brought the pub food revolution to the forefront. Ben Streak has joined the reopening team, having worked in some of Dorset's finest institutions: Summer Lodge, The Museum at Farnham and The Riverside in West Bay to name but a few. Ben has put together a brigade of young chefs who are passionate and willing to learn rather than a bunch of tired journeymen. We are not aiming to reinvent the wheel, rather to cook and serve the best seasonal local produce that the area is blessed with and build on the reputation gained thus far.

The wine list is by no means exhaustive but has been compiled with the expert help of Mark Banham from Palmers wine store in Bridport. Eleven wines by the glass are offered as 'house wines' all at the same price and a glass of fizz or perhaps a Bellini is positively encouraged. Three local cask ales are always available and in tip top condition along with two local ciders.
