This beautiful Devon country Inn near Crediton with old beams and flagstones is a hidden gem: specialising in real country cooking, warm hospitality and ‘cooked to order’ breakfasts. We’re open 7 days a week for lunch and dinner and you’ll taste some of the best local produce, together with local cask ales, like Otter’s Otter Ale and Dartmoor’s Jail Ale, wines supplied by our local expert, a variety of local gins and some of the finest Malt Whiskies.
Went here for the first time with my partner. Very friendly welcome upon arrival from landlord and resident parrot (Captain) The food was amazing and great value for money with fresh homemade specials available Definitely going to visit again Pictures of food Venison meatball tagliatelle (homemade pasta) from specials board Sausages of the day with mash peas and gravy Warm chocolate brownie and ice cream Sticky toffee pudding and ice cream And of course, can't forget Captain the resident parrot
We had a lovely family birthday party in the pub. The staff were very friendly and attentive to all our needs. Good food and lovely surroundings.
Spent a couple of days here. Rooms lovely. Great breakfast as wasvtge evening meal. Landlord and landlady pleasant and hospitable.
Beautiful pub had best cod ans chips never had cod like it we met captain the Perrott he's Beautiful we will the pub be co in back to stay in the lovley pub we stayed in a thatched holiday cottage at ridclescomb for a week all stunning x
Well run beautiful pub hotel, set in a quiet Devon village. Excellent food, drink and service. Can't recommend this place enough. Even if you are alone at the bar, you can have a chat with captain the parrot
