Our Sunday roast was lovely. I particularly enjoyed the sweet potato and celeriac gratin.
Given 4 stars as 5 is a cliché. Cheerful service, pub grub yes but really excellently done. Worth driving to
Had an evening meal and it was very good. Well cooked steak just as requested. Nice selection of food. Lots of home made. Sweet was a treacle tart. The staff are very attentive and nice surroundings. Overall a very pleasant experience at a reasonable cost.
I don't know anything about their accommodation. Food was very good and a friendly atmosphere. Staff very helpful. Good place to come and spend tome with family and friends. There is a reasonable amount of parking directly to the side.
Very Below average. Friendly welcome from staff, keen to help, drink prices not ridiculous, decent location if staying at pentire with its own car park round the back. Unfortunately the food was just not good. I've had worse food before, you do get a very big portion, but I'd rather had a smaller portion of better food. My burger just tasted weird, had like a sour taste like the meat had gone off, my wife's pie looked like it had been scraped up off the floor and was very sickly, the kids pizza overcooked and tasteless, fish dripping with oil. Nearly £80 for 4 adults and 2 young children for just food, drinks not included. All of us felt sick later on, my youngest daughter was actually sick, threw up in our lodge when we got back. No one came to ask if everything was ok. So just the 1 star from us unfortunately.
