Welcome to the New Inn, a traditional inn found in the village of Bwlch. The Inn is the last surviving hostelry in the village and is run by Neil and Sarah and Rocky the pub dog.
The New Inn is a small, cosy pub serving both the community and visitors to the area. It is dog friendly and muddy boots and children are made welcome.
There is a roaring fire to warm your chills on cold days and an outdoor area if you wish to take advantage of our sunny days in Wales –they are far more common than you would think!
Beacons Backpackers
Attached to the pub is The Beacons Backpackers, bunkhouse style accommodation, an ideal base for walking, cycling or exploring other local activities.
Whether you are visiting the New Inn for a homemade pie and a pint of real ale at the end of a days hiking, staying with us or just passing through, we hope your experience will be enjoyable.

We stayed at the New Inn while visiting family in BWLCH and had a great time. Neil was an amazing host, the facilities were ideal for what we needed, and the atmosphere was really warm and welcoming. We had some of the best nights sleep we've had in ages and waking up to the views of the mountains was a real treat. Would definitely recommend.
Such a lovely pub. Food was delicious, wine good, atmosphere cosy (fire, games, fairy lights…) and owners really friendly and welcoming. Couldn’t have been nicer, the perfect find after a long walk. Can’t wait to come back….
Great service, very friendly. Beer top notch and food excellent. What more do you want? Well, if that want enough, you are allowed custard AND ice cream with your crumble.
Absolutely lovely owners and staff. Great selection of ales, beers and spirits and food is bloody lovely! Really good value for money. Little gem in Bwlch, definitely recommend!
What a beautiful place and what beautiful hosts. Thank you so much for running such a lovely pub. The food was so perfect, so delicious, it was heartbreaking after finishing each meal that there was no more left. The orange cake with pecan and vanilla ice cream will forever live rent free in my heart. Absolutely recommend 100%.
