A large family friendly pub/restaurant set in a very large garden with two children's play areas and room for a game of football or rounders/cricket.
We visited between Chrismas & New Year. We didn't book a table We just arrived , the staff found us a table but said it is always better to book a table in advance for future reference. Our food order was taken in a timely manner and was served before we knew it. The food was hot, fresh and tasty. The staff were very nice. Our meals were great value for money, I would recommend and definitely return when in the area.
We came here for lunch on Christmas Day and had a lovely time, staff very welcoming and food was excellent. Considering they were so busy everything was served efficiently and nice and hot on arrival.
Food was OK, wouldn't send it back but just a bit bland. Service seemed a little slow with desserts. The manager worked hard to sort out some anomalies with the bill so thanks for that. For a Saturday lunchtime it seemed very quiet but that's not a bad thing in itself.
Pub area is dog friendly, separate from the main restaurant so people have options. Pub was lovely, had a warm atmosphere near the fire with warm lighting, music not too loud. Food and drinks were very quick to come out and it was tasty - chips were the best 😁. Overall had no issues with the food. There was a water bowl under the table for the dog which was nice. Staff were friendly and asked us if everything was okay. Left satisfied! 👍
Very enjoyable food a slightly larger piece of chicken in the New York chicken would of been nice I would trade of traded bigger chicken for the greenery they added but that is personal opinion or peas I'm not one for leaf's on my food. My wife and child both enjoyed their meals and both had a roast and if you ask nicely for some of the pork crackling they might give it to you like my daughter did and great table service during the meal. It looked so good so I tucked it before eating as you can see oh and the sundae went down well too
