The New Crown is our local, go to pub, totally friendly staff, good atmosphere, decent food and always welcoming. In particular Maggie is just always happy, funny and friendly, great customer service from her always. Great to see and talk to most of our neighbours there, it's real community pub.
Had my 40th birthday here. Great staff, great service! Buffet was lovely! I can’t fault the place, everything was perfect. Thank you so much! Special shout out to Meg for helping us set up. Such a top lass.
The meal was very good, the BBQ chicken burger was really nice and I would recommend adding the onion rings and extra bacon. Makes the burger even better. Service was really nice and our server Lucy was very helpful and friendly. Making sure that all our meals came out as closed together as possible.
We held a 70th here last weekend for my uncle. Everything was easy to arrange, Manageress kept checking in all night to make sure everything was going OK. Food was really nice, a lot of comments about the good selection. Everyone had a great night.
Visited with my Brother for lunch and drinks. Was greeted promptly if not politely Good selection of food and excellent vegetarian selection. The prices were good value for money. The food arrived quickly and large portions. The food was hot and delicious and also well presented. The kitchen staff deserve praise. Unfortunately bar and wait staff let them down on the customer service side by being completely indifferent and lacking basic manners (Hello, please and thank you) My Brother asked for a Coors beer the bartender snapped,"Don't serve it here" instead of, "I'm sorry we don't serve it could I suggest XYZ" Was treated like a mild annoyance. When the waitress brought our food she appeared and snapped our orders before just plonking it down and leaving. You could tell it was the bare minimum of service she was required. Again bar staff seemed uninterested ordered cocktails which were made with a sullen expression. They were well made though. Toilets were clean and well maintained. Would be happy to go in alone. To be honest a bit disappointed with the place. Not sure if I would return. There were some good views of the sea and dog friendly.
