About us

Now a rare breed; a family owned Freehouse. The Navigation Tavern has been in the O’Donnell family for over 20 years, a canal side pub in the heart of Yorkshire on the Calder & Hebble Navigation, serving great cask ales, beers and cocktails. Beautiful canal side beer garden too.

Over the years The Navi has become famous for its regular beer festivals and The Navifest music festival that started in 2013, as well as being part of the Transpennine Real Ale Trail.

The Navigation Tavern has 4 double/twin guest rooms and a family room, all en-suite and all rooms come equipped with a television set for entertainment and tea & coffee making facilities.

The pub has a lounge area to the front of the bar and a games room to the side with a pool table, darts and sky TV. There is also a large function room available to rear of the pub available for private events. All facilities have disabled access.

Ideally located, it is only 50 yards from Mirfield train station and sits on the canal.
