A traditional family-friendly pub situated in the small village of Wootton, North Lincolnshire.
We have a large outdoor play area for the children and a beautiful patio for customers who would like to sit outside in the sun to enjoy their meal and/or drinks. We are also happy to host birthday parties, wedding receptions and other events, either inside our pub or under the large marquee which can be put up in the beer garden.
We regularly host live artists, and have weekly Tuesday evening quiz nights and Friday (or Saturday) evening music bingo nights; please see our 'What's On' page for further information.

Our family went to our local Nags Head pub today for a try-out carvery after not entering the place, like many others, for nearly 6 years due to previous management issues. We were pleased to see both the exterior and interior now looking clean, tidy and cosy, with a warm fire blazing and shutting out the unpleasant stormy weather. The atmosphere was friendly and welcoming, just like it used to be. The carvery was great – 3 choices of perfectly-cooked tasty meat (we had a slice of each!) and plenty of great veg for the helping of. Thankfully the vegetables were not mushy or hard and the gravy was excellent too, with everything being hot and not lukewarm. Hats off to the new owners and chef – January is not the best month to drum up trade but fingers crossed that their business continues to blossom
Recently got new landlords - welcoming place, you can bring your dogs in, and they now have a Sunday carvery. Lovely little pub, and worth popping in for a pint or two
Check if it's still open. It looked very shut up last time I went on October 6 2023. Perhaps my (ex) bloody mother in law has haunted it.
Enjoyed a decent pint and home cooked food here today. Has always been a great country pub, but has struggled since covid, through no fault whatsoever of the excellent landlord. If you value The Great British Pub, then please visit, and keep visiting this fab pub. Use it or lose it!
What a cracking little place. Great landlord, made us welcome from the minute we stepped in til the minute we left. Lovely warm proper country style pub, and the food......delicious!! Best pie we have ever had, highly recommend, we will definitely be going back again and again. A real treasure of a find ❤️
