Such a lovely little pub now! Huge difference to what it used to be known for. The staff are friendly, it's warm & really inviting. Good selection of beers on tap, will need to try the food next time!
Visited again on 30/11. It was steak night with steaks for two and a bottle of wine for £25. Fantastic value and the food was excellent. I especially loved the homemade onion rings! A DJ started at about 9pm and with the pub's impressive sound system the atmosphere was great. If you haven't been to the new Nags Head, I'd highly recommend it - it's a great find! First review: Very friendly with good food, great beer, cocktails and coffee. They have late night dancing on Fridays and Saturdays too. Would definitely recommend.
Don't bother. It's a "regulars only" type bar without them actually saying it is. Sadness and bitterness governs the attitude of the punters and they'll try to provoke you out of nowhere. Bar staff seems slow and unexperienced but hey ho, gotta start somewhere. Close it down and put up another rat infested chicken shop in its place. At least you'd know what to expect with those.
Great pub, great welcoming Staff and Great locals who talk and make conversation. Full of stories and laughs. Well worth a visit if passing through. I stopped a few times now and it's the same quality with different people. Good pub.
Absolutely fantastic atmosphere. It was great music from the DJ, even got me making my way to the dance floor rounded up with great prices too... felt super safe, too, with all the staff there keeping an eye literally at every corner. It's rare I feel safe, so a huge thank you to who makes the decisions for that many security to be present and having the presence they hold there.
