I stayed here with some friends for a long weekend and had a wonderful time. The scenery was absolutely stunning and the house was also beautiful. The bedrooms were roomy and comfortable, each with their own en suite. The kitchen and living room have all the appliances you could need for an enjoyable stay. The hot tub was a lovely addition in the rear garden and was roomy enough to comfortably fit us all in. The location was ideal for a short drive into the city centre or adventuring further in Devon or Cornwall. Also, the pub was a welcoming, lovely place with a great outdoor seating area - perfect for the sunshine. The play park was also excellent and would also keep children well entertained.
I mean what a place…….. Where do I start, beautiful holiday homes for a fun filled weekend, and next door is this gem. A stunning spot set in the rural countryside filled with delicious food. Stunning mussels, burgers, and Sunday roast, the food is even brought to you in your home, I mean come on! Staff is great too and very speedy. Must try, and visit!!!!!! Returning soon for more delightful food!
A lovely place to eat in the middle of nowhere. Pleasant surroundings and friendly and helpful staff. Marked down slightly as menu seemed limited but what we had was very nice fresh and tasty.
Went here for date night after the husband was recommended by friends. I checked out the menu before and thought it was too posh for me 🤣 but the husband wanted to go so we booked a table. When we arrived there for our table at 7pm the carpark was full!....shows that it is enjoyed by many throughout the day but someone was just leaving! Perfect! I didn't need to find a space somewhere else in the dark! Lots of friendly faces from the staff when we arrived and there was lots of chatter from the customers seated at their tables. Considering the number of people it was clean and tidy and well looked after. We were seated and ordered our drinks. I liked how they were mainly local suppliers and businesses helping to support eachother! We ordered our food and my lack of posh names for normal dishes showed 🤣🤦🏻♀️ but everything I ordered was delicious! My husband even said the hummus from his starter was "the best he had ever had!" All of the staff were amazing tending to customers, turning tables over for the next and keeping everything clean and tidy, like a well oiled machine! Will definitely return but not one for our toddler just yet...this can remain a nice place for mummy and daddy first!
We hired a few tables on the terrace for my daughters baby shower, We had a beautiful cream tea, the scones where freshly baked they tasted amazing, everyone said how fresh they where, We also had a buffet style lunch spread, sandwiches, chips, vegetarian selection etc, all of it so tasty, 5 stars to the chefs. All the staff are friendly polite and happy to help, they are all a lovely team. The whole party had a lovely chilled out day, thank you to all the staff who helped make the day special. I would say to anyone if you haven't visited yet you must go.
