Basement Cocktails, Class Wine, Canny Folk.
We visited for date night and loved the whole experience. From the neon staircase to the huge choice of unique cocktails, this is one to add to your bucket list! Recommending the Peaches & Cream as well as the Bourbon Biscuit Old Fashioned, you won’t be disappointed :)
I wouldn’t describe the drinks as anything special, and are slightly overpriced. They don’t have your usual ‘basic’ cocktails, therefore finding one you know you’ll like will be slightly more difficult; I ended up ordering one which sounded nice but wasn’t, and wasted £8.95 The staff were, however, really friendly, and made the visit enjoyable. Complimentary water upon arrival was a beautiful touch There was also quite a nice atmosphere in the cosy-sized establishment. I would consider returning
Loved the massive warm welcome received. The cocktails were inventive and delicious with just the right amount of quirky theatre. The complementary water was a nice touch and the venue intimate and cool. Can’t recommend enough! Felt like you were in NYC not the Bigg Market! 🤣
Really affordable drinks compared to other bars I've been to and can even even make lots of classics that aren't on their menu if you ask Fast table service means you get your drinks soon after arriving and don't have to wait to be served at the bar The staff are all really friendly and make you feel comfortable - also feels very safe as a woman as don't have to worry about men approaching you Very instagrammable! Navy and pink colour scheme with candle lit tables make for great lighting On Saturdays they have a DJ, but even when I've visited on a weekday they still play great hip-hop music Perfect for dates and cocktail nights with friends, wouldn't go anywhere else!
We were recommended by another bar - the continental. It was so strange just tucked right out the way in the cloth market, down in the basement. This place is table service and right from the start we really enjoyed it. We were sat and a jug of water for the table was provided which I think is a nice touch. The music was fantastic, and really set the mood of the whole place, playing original R n B and rap. The place kind of had a jazz vibe with the small round tables, architecture and low ceilings. As there were so many cocktails to choose from we asked for recommendations and we went for a sours which was delicious. We also played the can't decide random choice thing which was really cool too. The bar staff were super friendly and very helpful and we really enjoyed our night.
