2nd time here very friendly staff great service. Here on Iolo guided holiday a shame Nick Baker wasn't included in the evening meal as that is the social part at the end of the day we look forward to.
Stopped for Sunday lunch. Very polite, clean and friendly service. Food was to a high standard and service was very friendly and polite. The dining area is very grand and the prices very reasonable for the quality of food £20 for 2 courses or £25 for three courses. Access was easy and parking was free. Overall I would recommend visiting.
Beautiful old hotel, excellent staff, from cleaners to managers. Stayed there twice in 2023, Summer and Winter, grat base to go discover the bounty of wildlife and most beautiful scenery that is North East Scotland.
Did not stay here but came for a Sunday lunch. This is a historic hotel and it's worth reading the quote from Queen Victoria's diary on the way to the dining room and absorbing the selection of old 1870s photos. Lunch was pleasant and good value with pleasant and helpfull staff. The hotel felt a little like we had time traveled back a decade or two but not in a bad way.
Beautiful old hotel - but old hotels are noisy. Our room was next to a fire door and everyone coming and going could be heard quite clearly (room 401). Location was excellent, walking distance to restaurants, grocery, and a little shopping. Only ate breakfast at the hotel and it was quite sufficient.
