Well what can I say it's ot friendly. And if you change something like beans for mushrooms be assured you will only get one lonely mushrooms.. The sausages was very dry and gritty. (They was left) the eggs was not kept soft even tho asked. I have to say we left a fair bit of our meal. I went to the bathroom and found 2 of the toilets was out of order. And some where very dirty. There was water all over the sink and floor but it did smell nice. There was a group of men that was very loud and made it feel unsafe however I guess that to be expected this time and age.
We visited The Moon Under Water in June 2023. The pub is reasonably sized with a large seating area at the front and extends into the Xscape complex. It’s decorated with quite a strange mixture of clashing colours, although there are plenty of tables to choose from and a very interesting sculpture on the ceiling. Had some brekky and it was disappointing. Food was cold, beans were freezing, everything was plain. No shakers provided, salt and pepper are on the dedicated table, packed in the tiny paper bags, had to fetch these myself. Overall experience is poor, the good bit is that beer was cold.
I had a sample of Harlequin before I bought because the Shipyard wasn't on. Not too bad for the real ale. There was very little choice of ales on my visit. Not too busy Quiet atmosphere
We ordered on the app and usually have a pretty decent time here. The most recent visit was a Sunday. We thought it would be busier but there were plenty of tables free. Sadly many were still covered in used plates and glasses. We ordered drinks, 2 packets of crisps and a bowl of chicken and after 20mins the chicken came out. No sign of the waters or crisps. The surver must have been having a rough day and there wasn't a single work as she dropped off the plate and cutlery and went straight back to the kitchen. Both of the tables pictured remained that way for over an hour and only cleared as customers cleared them and piled up other tables so they could sit down in the nicer seats and booth. We ordered a second round of food but the steak knife left so we could cut the pizza was still covered in the last meal it was served with. The food was great though. Just must have found it on a bad day.
