The Moody Cow Apperley Bridge was the first in our herd, now totally independent restaurant. Going from strength, it’s become a favourite destination in the area for discerning diners looking for a great night out in a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
Our vision was to launch a quality restaurant using local, quality produce that the owners, restaurant managers, chefs, waiting staff, farmers, growers and suppliers can all be proud of. So our first restaurant at Apperley Bridge was born in October 2013.
Many people ask about the name, The Moody Cow, and where it came from, as our wives will proof read this I can honestly say it has nothing at all to do with them, honest!.
The food was excellent, the coffee perfect and the staff were attentive. We felt comfortable and unrushed to enjoy our time there. *Asked to update my review - still magnificent, still 5 Stars.
The absolute BEST fillet steak I have ever had, the flavour was out of this world! We had 3 courses & all were great & the service- we dined in their outdoor area which was sheltered from the horrid rain on the day we chose to visit! The heaters were very welcome!
Very nice food! I had the mixed grill. They still had some kind of help out to eat out discount when we visited on a Tuesday in September 2020 that they took the hit on? (Government should be helping out more! ) Felt very safe with screens around tables.Friendly staff good atmosphere despite these horrible times.
Went to valentine's evening meal, wasn't expecting a set menu, but it had a really good selection on there and for £35 per head we thought it was very good value. Service was excellent, the little booth was nice and intimate but the food was fantastic, as was the bottle of malbec we washed it down with. Very impressed
Impossible to give less then 5 stars, the food was amazing and reasonably priced, I would be happy to pay more it was that good, service was excellent the decor was 1st class, I can't recommend this establishment highly enough and we eat Sunday dinners in all the high end restaurant,s.
