The food was good, salad bar well maintained and good amount of choice. We had the set menu which is worth the price. Server was lovely and helped with needs. They had no vegan ice cream which caused some upset due to dairy intolerances. The bread rolls were good and good choice of refillable drinks.
We had a group booking of 20 and upon arrival we had 3 separate tables not even attached to each other so it didn’t feel like we were there together at all. Our food order was from the ‘NEW’ festive menu. Turkey Christmas dinner was cold, roast potatoes were slightly hard inside and really salty. Yorkshire pud was overdone and pig in blanket was burnt and crispy. As for the veg well it wasn’t very Christmassy at all. Christmas pudding with brandy sauce for dessert - looked like a sample size which was ridiculous and who puts toffee sauce on Christmas pudding? The brandy sauce had to be redone as tasted too much like custard and when the new one came out it was cold. Fair play to the lady that was looking after us (apologies I didn’t catch your name) she did the best she could. She should’ve had someone else helping her out with a group that big. Hats off to you girl! Overall I didn’t enjoy my experience here which is a shame really.
The food is delicious. The menu is brief so you can choose easily. The staff is really helpful.
Didn't make a reservation. Arrived just after 7.30pm on a Sunday. Plenty of tables available. There is an unlimited salad bar. Good variety of items. I ordered the Haddock, chips & garden peas & my wife had the 3 course deal. She ordered the breaded mushrooms for her starter, the BBq Chicken stack with the Sundae Best as her dessert. Drinks were also ordered. Didn't have to wait long for my wife's starter. The mains came soon after. The mains arrived nice and hot and were well cooked. Shared the Sundae Best. Staff were very friendly and answered any questions about any of the food. Overall, an enjoyable experience. The only issue that was glaringly obvious was that the interior was tired and the restaurant really needs a makeover which might attract more customers. There in competition with the Today across the road.
Mixed grill is a fantastic mix of delicious meats. The chicken burger is very flavorful. The chips were crispy and tasted very good. Salad bar is full of good items! Restaurant is very busy and full of life, come here to be part of a family. Make sure you register your car at the entrance! Blue light discount available.
