We are a very small, family owned and run, independent restaurant and bar, set in a beautiful, thatched 16th century cottage in the middle of Quorn. Conversation, good food, a classic and quirky drinks lists, a ghost and some cracking wines await.

First visit to The Monk, for a Christmas meal with family and a friend. The food was great, the staff very attentive, and the atmosphere relaxed. Met the owner, as my son knows him. I will definitely visit again. Great evening, enjoyed by all of us.
My husband and myself recently dined here at a busy Christmas work function. All the staff were very attentive, the food was delicious and severed hot which was a delight as our party number was 40+. The restaurant itself is gorgeous and in an ideal location in the village with plenty of near by parking. I have told all my friend and family they must give it a visit. We will certainly returning in the new year to try the Sunday roast. Thank you
The food was of good quality, one of the nicer Sunday roasts in Leicestershire. Really reasonably priced for the courses and a wide selection of drinks on the menu. Unfortunately the customer service was disappointing, the staff came across as if they didn’t want to be there. Unfortunate.
Was lucky enough to get a table here! Definitely recommend booking beforehand. We sat in the sheltered outdoor area which was so well decorated but also really warm. The staff was lovely and friendly. We had the pork shoulder Sunday roast and it was perfect, really delicious. Great decor inside, 10/10 in general. 100% would recommend
We visited The Monk on Saturday evening and so pleased we did. A full five stars from us, and we'll definitely be visiting again. Excellent and varied menu, all our food was delicious 😋 and plentiful. We both had starters and mains but shared a dessert (well OK, l had dessert and allowed hubby to try it). Thank you for making our evening enjoyable and special. Price is based on food per person.
