OUR CHEFS HAVE BEEN BUSY CREATING A MOUTH-WATERING MENU WITH SOMETHING FOR EVERYONE, COMBINE THIS WITH OUR EXTENSIVE DRINKS SELECTION AND YOU'RE IN FOR A TREAT. They managed to sneek us in as we had not booked for Sunday. Well organised place with plenty of attentive staff. Decent pint, nicely styled, although Xmas decorations still up. Loved the fireplace. Meals were adequate partner enjoyed the ham egg and chips, I had the burger which had to many cold extras
Came here with a work mate for some lunch. Food was great, we did however wait 35 minutes for it. Getting a bit anxious and having to rush the tasty food as we had a meeting at 1 luckily our office is just down the road. We were charged a 10% service fee even though we went up to the bar to pay and dined in the bar area not the restaurant. I have never been charged a service fee in Kent; only in London. Not to say I disagree but we had to get our beer from the bar anyway. Front of staff bloke was not the friendliest. When we had tried to talk to him about the bill we was ignored. Sandwiches don’t come with chips… mental; overpriced I’d say. I’d come again simply to see if service has been improved and I would make a point of not paying the service charge unless dining in the restaurant. 3/5
Staff were so friendly, from front of house, our waitress to the owner and the dog! 😂 our food was absolutely fantastic, the barn with the dj is a great end to the night. Our cab firm let us down and we got stuck there for an extra 1/2 hour and the staff were all so lovely and looked after us. We thank you so much for a great Xmas/birthday night! Yummy and reasonably priced cocktails too. We will be back x
Amazing food, service and a really lovely atmosphere. We were lucky with the weather and got to enjoy seating outside - music was a fab touch! Shame the staff here have moved on from the pub that was local to me before, but I’m really glad I found the moat as I missed the food!!
An excellent experience from start almost to finish. Our waiter was very friendly helpful and accommodating throughout making our experience pleasant across a wide age range at the table. Drinks, starters arrived efficiently and food delicious. Problem with one dish was resolved quickly. The gap between the main course and dessert was too long as the place filled up and overstretched the staff but that is always an issue with a popular and well visited place. I took a peak outside and the garden area and high tea and meal offerings outside were also great. I would definitely recommend and would return again for sure.
