The Mitre in the Bishopsgarth area of Stockton is a good old traditional family style pub with something on offer for everyone.
Ideally situated on the roundabout where Harrowgate Lane meets Darlington Back Lane, The Mitre has been around for almost half a century and is going stronger than ever - we have some customers who first came in as 18 year old's who are now visiting with their children and grand children - like we said, a true family pub!
We offer tasty pub food offering real value, a wide range of drinks at great prices and there's always something going on here at The Mitre, be it live music, kareoke, or a carvery or curry night - we do the lot here on our corner plot on Harrowgate Lane.

Great meal at the mitre, steak pie actually had steak in it which makes a change these days, lovely home made chunky chips and gravy, reasonable price so we are happy
It's several years since we were last in The Mitre pub. We were passing and decided to drop in for a quick bite and drink. The car park and outer appearance need a complete refresh. However inside things were more homely. Nice welcome from staff and landlord. Food and drinks were OK. Typical pub food, nothing special. Overall a good experience.
Enjoyed a xmas get together in the upstairs area. Excellent pub grub served by friendly, welcoming staff. Choice of only 1 real ale was a disappointment but otherwise it was an excellent experience.
Very lovely affordable food, kids love the food and staff help me with my picky ones. Good atmosphere, homemade food, and brilliant service feels very homely and chilled. I try to bring family every month.
2 pints of Moretti, veggie wellington thing, chicken goujons (real chicken too, not processed) and onion rings for less than 30 quid. Staff were friendly too. Meals came out quick. Good little estate pub.
