Good beer, the food was perfectly cooked and there was plenty of it. The Friday Bogof deal on the burgers, meant it was excellent value. The staff were friendly and efficient, and we have absolutely no complaints about our visit.

Booked yesterday for a table at 5:15pm. Turned up 10 minutes early, the table was ready, and a member of staff showed us to our table. We ordered our food and drinks through the Greene King app, and the drinks were with us promptly. A very short wait after that and the food arrived. Really quick service, and the food was superb. Highly recommend a visit to the mill house, can't fault it. Lovely attentive staff, and a nice relaxed atmosphere to dine in. If I could give 10 stats I would!

Not been to the Milhouse for quite sometime and all I have to say is what a shockingly bad experience, top to bottom for our breakfast visit. We arrived on an unbusy Sunday morning and waited close to 40 minutes for two kids waffles with bacon, and a breakfast wrap and when finally delivered were the most unappetising selection of food. Cold waffles, burnt ends of bacon chopped and sausage on one opposed to the crispy streaky bacon, and a wrap filled with an assorted selection of what to all intent and purpose could have been left overs from another table. A general feeling of lack of care and quality standard. Luckily, the kids didn't much mind as they lashed everything with syrup and ketchup and are much more forgiving that me. The wrap was below par. If I'm honest I wish we'd have left but most parents know, when you need to feed kids you need to feed them or face the nuclear consequences. The staff were totally focused on chatting and getting setup for a mcmillan coffee morning which is admirable but when you're a business made to look after customers, that's where your focus needs to be. The only two other tables in proximity fielded complaints of cold food to be met with 'what do you want me to do about it' and meals arriving to the same table 20 minutes apart, both of which left vast quantities on their plate. Outside of this, the venue is run down and grubby. Hopefully greene king will give this the same treatment as the former bonnie Prince in Derby, renovate, clear out complacent staff and make this a great canalside pub with top food. I won't visit here again it is just terrible.

Lovely staff, super helpful and friendly, who checked in throughout our meal to make sure everything was okay. They told us about all the deals available when we ordered and saved us some money, too. Proper pub food and a relaxed and chilled atmosphere. Well-used but really clean and tidy. Portion sizes were okay, comparable to most other food places right now. There's comfy indoor and outdoor seating and and a view of the canal out the back with a small kids playground out the front. Was super quiet when we came here. We will definitely be back! Also, if you have a play pass for the Wacky Warehouse, you can get 10% off the meal bill. Check the deals before you go! 😊 Blue Light Card Holders can also get 20% off food. The Greene King app will have their full menu if you want to see up to date prices and what's available. You can also order your food through the app.

Downstairs Bar Staff were rude and arrogant whilst the upstairs staff were superb and helpful. The Carvery was Excellent as always your Kitchen Staff of which I understand are the same people as the last time we visited. To have a Carvery on your doorstep & not having to travel miles is Brilliant!
