My first time here for food. Took the dog along with me, who was made welcome. It was the middle of the afternoon, so therefore a little quiet, I ordered a mixed grill, which was beautiful with all the meat cooked perfectly, and the nicest chips that I’ve had in quite some time. There was even a little treat for the dog as well! Wonderful place!
I can't rate the food, we didn't eat, but it was well presented and I heard no complaints. It was a little dark inside and not much room in the reception area. I enquired before visiting if they had a disabled toilet. They don't, despite saying they did. They do have an accessible toilet, which is the ladies, and doubles as a baby changing area. Car park was fine, some disabled bays, access is not too difficult. Pricing was surprisingly cheaper than I expected
Was closed but .. A new note says its re-opened. Lovely welcome, friendly staff, super decor and lovely food. Enjoyed my visit for a weekday lunch. Was here with a friend.The menu offers a good variation.We chose seabass, new potatoes and trimmings, my friend said it was gorgeous. As you can see, I chose the scotch eggs (haggis style), cooked to perfection and ordered a side salad. Although a starter, it was enough. Nice deserts on offer. There are a few seating areas inside to choose from, it's so cosy and traditional in the restaurant area on the sunny side. Outside has sitting areas too, lovely as it was a beautiful day. A covered area is available too incase its colder. At the back, it overlooks countryside and fields of horses, so nice views. I would advise you book for a table at the weekend as it does get busy. Very popular. !!! Will be back soon.
Really chilled atmosphere, took my team here for lunch. Food was amazing and the portions were massive. The mixed grill is amazing! The team were really nice and the food came out quick, will be going again .. and again.
Absolutely gorgeous from the moment we walked in the door. It was my wedding anniversary & everything was fabulous. Chocolate orange cheesecake was amazing. The pies were full of fillings. Landlady was very busy but attentive to every guest & welcoming. Wouldn't hesitate going back.
