Nestled in the shadow of the stunning Edinburgh Castle, just off the famous Royal Mile, The Castle Arms is perfectly situated for those wishing to indulge in traditional Scottish cuisine whilst exploring our beautiful city.

After getting a taste for delicious Scottish food you can sample an array of fine whiskies and ales in our extensive selection from Scotland and beyond. Our knowledgeable and informative bar team are always happy to talk and find a whisky you'll love. Aside from our more traditional beverages we also provide a wide variety of drink, ranging from cocktails to wines and various spirits.

Great food forms a big part of our favourite experiences at home and abroad, we aim to provide that same great experience for everyone who pays us a visit.

The food and the service are incredible! My husband and I had a great time. We received a great service from Hubert and kris. Totally recommend! We are from the sunshine state in the U.S we travel a lot we had an excellent experience!

So happy I stumbled upon the Castle Arms. Had a great dinner (and drinks). Food was excellent and the staff were so friendly and attentive. Thank you to Hubert and the rest of the staff! It was the perfect cozy and lively environment for a cold winter night.

I came here for the weekend. I had so many disappointing experiences until I came here. The staff especially Mati & Hubert were so accommodating. Jules was also so patient. The staff are so friendly that I wish I could spend all my time here. Highly recommend. Best place in a wonderful spot.

Tried the Lamb Shank upon my bartender’s suggestion , as well as the mulled wine. I am travelling solo and Hubert, bartender, was very friendly and other locals super helpful and lovely to talk to! The location as a whole was exciting with many decorations on the walls & art on the ceiling. Portion of food is great!

Decent pub for where it’s located! Full of tourists, especially in August (totally my bad for visiting at this time!) so got quite busy / hectic. However service was decent, beers were good (they had a decent selection), and food was alright considering!
