Great place, lovely staff and good but affordable food. (we always have the carvery) Im especially thankful to Donna, who very patiently helped me with a problem i had on my phone and served us with a smile as always. we regularly visit and always have a pleasant meal. highly recommend.
The worst restaurant experience of my life. We had to order the food off of our phones which was fine but the waitresses were not doing their job. They walked around talking to each other, flirting with the chefs, etc. They did everything but ask us if we needed anything. Why is this place hiring 16 year old greasy British girls. The food was horrific. The worst mac and cheese, Expired blue cheese dressing, and uncooked burgers that I couldn’t even finish. Applebees is a 5 star restaurant compared to this place.
In need of a good clean up! Been here a fair few times as it’s close to my kids school and she likes the carvery. The food is always ok, nothing amazing but your typical chain pub food. What lets this place down is the cleanliness! It is in need of a deep clean or failing that a full redecorate. The furniture is tired, the washrooms are in a poor state of repair and the walls have food all over them. I first noticed the food shown on the wall in the pics about 5-6 months ago and on the latest visit found that it is still there. I don’t really see how it can have been missed by the staff or cleaners…
From the initial phone enquiry to the food and service, absolutely amazing. Staff are really nice accommodating. Pizza was super tasty
Usually it's my go-to carvery, however today was different. Only gammon and a tiny bit of beef available, beef was so fatty and hard it was inedible, roast potatoes were also inedible! Veg was bog standard. Service very slow, seemed like they forgot about us, very dirty sticky tables and lots of flies about. Dessert was the only thing that was good! Won't be returning for a while.
