Probably the best pub in Enfield. We always use The Wonder when I organise our old gits, annual 'school' reunion - notwithstanding covid and rail strikes (I travel from Lancashire these days). This year was no exception. despite being Tuesday quiz night, we were given a warm welcome by the staff and enjoyed a few AKs in the Public bar, warmed by the real wood fire. Retiring to the Saloon bar as the quiz began, we relaxed in the relative luxury of the tastefully decorated (for Christmas) saloon bar. The Wonder provided the perfect backdrop to a memorable occasion.
I really enjoy the quiz night the wonder puts on as it makes Tuesday night more exciting and the stuff are welcoming and happy to talk to you
Decent enough old school pub. We mainly go for the 'Pizza Gig' van in their front beer garden, and some of the beers (IPA) are good value.

I believe it had a bad reputation for clientele in the past, but it looks like things have improved. There are some annoying chavy families who are in the beer garden later in the evening with noisy, disruptive young kids. on a couple of occasions, which we found a bit irritating. The owners should discourage in the evening as many pubs have a policy for this, but overall, a decent enough local.
What a find I have seen pubs on old TV programmes where there's a sing along of traditional songs around a piano but I'm in my mid 50's now and despite living in London my whole life, I've never experienced this until yesterday when I visited the Wonder I was invited for a birthday party there and at 5pm, the piano started, accompanied by a guy on spoons and a washboard The pub was packed with 4 different generations and I have to say, it was fantastic Roll out the barrel, maybe it's because I'm a Londoner and it's a long way to Tipperary were but a few I know, with everyone joining in. The real fire was going, the drinks were very well priced, the staff were great and the windows steamed up from the warmth inside It was a fantastic evening and anyone wanting to experience this has to get to the Wonder sooner rather than later because evenings like this won't be around forever If you try it once, I'm sure you'll be back with friends and family
