Hard to know what to say about this place really. If you like ales, don't go (none available). If you aren't a local regular (don't go). It's one of those pubs that with the right owners, has the space to become a decent boozer. Maybe if some brewery chain took it over like Greene King or Marstons, it could be a lot better (some sort of pub that is more family friendly). In its current form it's just a pub most avoid. It's just a pub propped up by the daily drinkers and seems to have no intention of changing. I don't think it serves food. 2 stars as it's a good size. One to give a miss sadly.
Fantastic live music venue! Warm welcome from the staff and audience. Fun night! Would recommend.
Pub 1/13 on our Golden Mile! Started our adventure out here, at The White Lion. The rooms were a bit bare and all the pool cues were damaged, which takes off a star. But the pint was delicious and the bartender was absolutely amazing, which are the two most important bits! Drink up, let’s boo boo!
Small bar very quiet. But the lounge witch is very large was packed when a live band played great night out
