Converted from a former restaurant in 2004, this building retains a distinctive restaurant feel. It has, however, quickly become renowned as Wetherby's premier bar for discerning drinkers as well as for its high quality range of brasserie and tavern style
Single storey throughout, the building is divided into separate bar and dining areas, although the latter is available for drinkers once food service is complete. There is also a small outside car park and spacious ‘beer terrace'. Muse Ale & Wine Bar is located at the heart of Wetherby just off the market place and there are frequent bus services to all surrounding towns and villages. We focus on British Real Ales from smaller independent breweries and also on Continental and World Beers both on draught and in bottle, which we present as our Connoisseurs Beer Menu.
We also feature a comprehensive wine list and offer a wide range of fruit juices, soft drinks plus, of course, freshly brewed tea and coffee.
Our range of Real Ales is predominantly northern based as we prefer to purchase direct from the brewer ensuring that our ales do not spend weeks in transit or sitting in a 3rd party warehouse. Consequently we are supplied by breweries throughout Yorkshire, Lancashire, Lincolnshire, Cumbria and Durham. Our taverns usually feature at least one beer from Timothy Taylor or Black Sheep breweries on a permanent basis, while some have further permanent listings from popular local breweries. In addition, all Taverns offer 3 and up to 5 guest ales from an ever changing list of UK breweries.
Our Connoisseur's beer menu of Continental and World Beers is one of the most comprehensive to be found in the UK. Featuring beers of all styles from Belgium, Germany, the USA, Australia, Czech Republic, Holland and Ireland - this menu is sure to contain something to excite the palate of every beer lover.

Reserved a table of 8 mid Saturday afternoon. Describes itself as a gastropub. Menu was limited and the most basic pub food. No specials board. Food was as boring as the menu. Long way from being a gastro pub. Despite booking we were put on a collection of 2 person round tables. Burgers and steak dry, soup tasteless
We went for a few beers and may I say very enjoyable. Staff very friendly and helpful will being going back soon.
Popped in for a quick bite. We had burgers. Beef patties were quite tough & chips/fries nothing exciting either. Very ordinary grub. Lovely courtyard for a sunny day and drinking though.
Pie month 3rd march to 31st free Timothy Taylor pint with any pie ,we had braised brisket full of meat and slow cooked belly pork, excellent will come again, great music and atmosphere
A great lunch. Children's food was well made and generously portioned - clearly not just an afterthought. Traditional pub food and some very exciting sounding extras.
