Went here last week for a wake, excellent service, friendly staff, lovely buffet, both hot and cold, provided by the club, we spoke to a committee member who said its an open membership and they are doing a refurbishment but you wouldn't have known as there were no signs of disruption, I only dropped a star because we had to climb some external stairs to the first floor but saying that there could have been another entrance as there is a pool table in the floor below. Recommended.
Posting this to confirm that this is a super club. Recent reviews have been biased and unfair. I have been a member for a few years now and it is under the management of Michelle Hughes that the club is flourishing. There is a great sense of community, super social activities, excellent food. The staff are always so helpful and professional. I have noticed real positive changes. I have social skill problems and Michelle has been an absolutely super welcoming host. Including me in events, and always supportive and caring. The club offers so many different activities and the bar area is cosy and enjoyable with many guest ales and new artisan gins on sale. You can just meet for tea and coffee and the bar food is home made and delicious. I hope Michelle continues at the helm for many years to come.
