The Mermaid serves food every day lunch and dinner except Sunday evening when they hold their weekly fun quiz Serves three real ales as well as other keg beers largers Guinness and a premium cider A good selection of wines from around the world and a quality selection of soft / fruit drinks Take-away fish and chips are available every weekday evening 6pm - 730pm A beautiful garden with "Alfresco" dining facilities compiments this quirky 14th century "classic" low beam village pub There are also two letting lodges in the garden which are both four bedded and both have their own bathrooms and are ideal for the fishing enthusiasts round the corner at Grafham Water All the meals are prepared in house using local produce giving a range of "old favourites".
Visited for an informal dinner. Great selection of food items. Aware that they also have accommodation, which would be very convenient for the A14. One word of caution: if you want to book a table then ring them, do not rely on their website.
Was looking for a bite to eat as we were travelling east on the A14 and came across this gem. What a fantastic place, great food and great staff. Cannot fault it. Will be saving this the next time we're out this way, we'll worth stopping!
Lovely midweek meet up with friends. Great menu, not too expensive. The steak was really tasty and not expensive like many gastro pubs. The service was great, a lovely atmosphere. Nice to see so many people out on a Wednesday night. We will be back !
Went for an evening out and was highly impressed. Waitresses knowledgeable and friendly. Food excellent and way above 'pub grub'. A busy restaurant is always a good sign and yet service was fast and efficient. Well done The Mermaid. Recommended
Lovely little pub/restaurant. We have been a regular at the sister pub in Perry for years. The Mermaid has a great menu full of classics and the quality of ingredients is noticeable! Lots of fresh fish and meat. An intimate restaurant with friendly staff and cosy atmosphere. We will definitely return!
