Formerly known as The Sheep Walk Tavern, we have undergone extensive refurbishment to create the ambience of an authentic Mediterranean Portuguese restaurant.
Mendes Restaurant is a contemporary restaurant, grill and bar. We pride ourselves on our authentic Mediterranean Portuguese menu and a long wine list. We also have a vast selection of draft beers and an extensive cocktail menu.
We can cater for bookings as well as functions and events such as christenings and weddings.

Absolutely incredible experience at this restaurant. The staff was extremely attentive from the moment we walked in until the moment we left. The bitoque was chosen by most members of our party and rated a 10/10 by all! The music really added to the great atmosphere as my grandmother loves to get up and dance. We will 100% be returning again. I recommend everyone to go

Really good food, very nice wines with normal prices. Portuguese cuisine which is very rare in this area. We are sure to be back and try something else.
Great price for what you get. Staff are always lovely and accommodating. Nothing is a problem for them. It's no frills but the food is really good and wholesome. Can be busy but that adds to the atmosphere and shows how popular the place is. You won't leave here hungry. The front has a small bar and a pool table. They sometimes have a DJ (pop) and there is also a jukebox.
