Such A beautiful place to have lunch, The staff are amazing even though they were swept off their feet they still have time to give the most amazing service, I had three courses with three drinks and the bill only came to £45 with service charged. The crispy pork 😍 you gotta try this 😌
Went to this pub 2 days in a row while we were staying locally, it was that good. We were warmly welcomed back by the staff on our second visit. Speaking of the staff - they are incredibly attentive and efficient, even when the pub is packed and every table is taken, they are friendly and polite whilst getting the job done. The food is marvelous, empty plates all round, without a single complaint. I highly recommend this pub. Also, it's a lovely setting in the warmer months, being right on the river.
Myself and a few friends visited The Mayfly today as we wanted to get a nice riverside pub in before summer is over. It's a charming pub with a lovely, cosy, beer garden stealing the show. The food was nice and the normal price you'd pay for pub food these days. Decent menu as well and a lot to suit all tastes. I've knocked it down one star for service purely because no one checked on whether we wanted more drinks or anything extra throughout our 4hrs there. If they had asked us, I'm sure we would have ordered more and spent more, as it was table service.
Amazing location by the river Test. Huge outside eating area. Friendly staff and good food. Only criticism…. Barman on the day I visited was consistently serving short pints… not just to our group, noticed other groups were getting short measures on pints (I was the only one to ask for a top up!)
