Named after the former landlady, Mary McBride's is full of character and is a must visit for anyone exploring Cushendun. Serving traditional fare and licenced to serve alcohol, Mary's is often packed throughout the year and hosts live music during the
When visiting this beautiful seaside village – do NOT miss a visit to one of Ireland’s smallest pubs – Mary McBride’s. Say hello to owners Cormac and his sister Fiona while enjoying a pint of Guinness and chatting with one or two of the locals. This Pub has tons of history based on the life of the original owner, Mary McBride. We are a traditional old style house pub, with a few modern features. Downstairs is a traditional Irish family run pub serving a 'Pub Grub' menu, with many an evening turning into a sing song. We’ve got music most Saturday evenings and Mary’s Sunday session from 4pm every Sunday Bar menu from April to October Monday – Sunday.
First time here. And it was lovely... They were quite busy but the service was great! All the staff were pleasant & done there job with ease & efficiency. The food was excellent & the atmosphere was exactly how you would expect a traditional Irish pub. Worth a visit even to taste the Guinness!
Excellent pub, great pints, and excellent architecture.
It was a great pleasure to visit this little bar. We were a family of eight and they made us feel at home with a very very good food, we strongly recommend this place. Also highlight the attention we were given and also the patience since we were a lot of people for a small place.
Loved this pub, the vibe, food and craic was mighty. Nestled in the heart of Cushendun, with all its beautiful setting, it was a proper gem of a pub with genuine warm patrons. The pub itself is quite contained but full of quirky people and things. There's a small front bar accomadating people chilling and supping with ease. The restaurant serves the tastiest food priced very reasonable ( Steak sandwich..and roast beef dinner..£24). Service was fast and efficient, very friendly and accommodating. Everyone looked happy and relaxed. Beautiful drive along the coast and a wonderful meal to replenish and relax, great place ,great setting. Mary McBrides is vibrant, fun and friendly, with great food and grand beer. 😋
