Had a lovely meal, good size dog friendly area, food was good and good size portion's. Would recommend and return, returned and tried the steak and ale pie, bit of a disappointment as not much meat.

I had the Chicken in Black Bean Sauce from the specials board and it was one of the best meals out I've had in a while. There was a good male vocalist on at 9pm as well (Saturday night) and a section available for those who wanted to watch the sport on the TV. All of our party thoroughly enjoyed their meals and it was clean plates all round. The pies were full of filling, chips were nice and chunky and the lasagnes tasted fresh. I don't know when we will be back over the East Coast again but I would strongly recommend this place to anyone staying in the area or at the Caravan Park next door.

We arrived a little late for the Carvery but had a Carvery Baguette. There was a chef called Christian who's customer service was exceptional such a credit to the business it's a long time since I had service as good as this. The Meat (I had Pork and Stuffing My Partner had beef)was so tender and tasty. Served with roast potatoes and gravy(normally served with chips). Nothing was too much trouble. We will definitely be going again would highly recommend. They have love music on a Saturday as well I noticed.

Upon entry, it was really busy, we were directed by a young waitress to go into the bar area as there were "lots already waiting" for a table in the dog friendly area. So we went into the bar. Where the (I think) owner very rudely hand waved us away (he was clearly flustered as it was very busy) to go into the dog friendly table area (the shed). And then bustled on past us. Thankfully an older waitress had cleared some tables then and it turned out there were plenty in there for us to sit at. There is no clear signage for which bit you can go in with dogs, at the entrance, and nobody organising who goes where really. Anyway, eventually we were situated and then you find there's an order point in the shed, like a little hatch, not really signposted, we only found out after going into the bar again, to be told to order in the hatch..... So finally we got some food and drinks ordered, which came out in due course, nachos for one were really nice, and a big portion. All the starters were decent. The mains however were not so good. Large gammon was millimeters thicker than thickly sliced bacon, and was overcooked underneath, egg wasn't runny. Steak pie was dry and very tough pastry, can only have been reheated, as this is exactly what happens to pastry when reheated. It looked nice, but the proof is in the eating and this was badly lacking. In no mood to complain to an owner who had been so rude when we entered we just left it after eating what we could, good job the nachos were nice eh? Their catchment is why they are busy (holiday lets and campers (like us)), and I guess the carvery might be nice but we won't be back to try it, I'd recommend you go here if you like watching live sport and enjoy gruff rude service from bossman and rock hard pastry. Otherwise travel somewhere else to eat. **EDIT** This was Sunday 7th May (checking my google timeline) at 5.30pm so if it wasn't you, then it was somone impersonating a poor front of house manager. Also, the food was as described, and it was still busy when we left so you can imagine why we didn't try and find you, and your responses to anything mildly negative on here speak for themselves. I leave honest reviews so that people can judge for themselves, nothing more. I hope you can find a way to manage the super amount of visits you're generating to your venue with more care as time moves on.
