Our founder, William Nicholson, knew a thing or two about gin and Gin Palaces. He ran the family gin distillery and picked only the finest pubs to serve it in. We keep his tradition alive with our selection of modern, aromatic gins, all served with the perfect tonic and garnish.
We also take our cask ale seriously at Nicholson’s which is why you’ll always find a host of seasonal and regionally sourced cask ales on our hand pulls. I recently visited Marquis by granby and I must say I had an amazing experience that I couldn’t resist to share it in here. The food was top absolutely scrumptious and what made my experience more better was the staff experience. The staff in here are not just friendly but they went out of their way to make my visit more pleasant. Their sweet smiles and willingness to help at every step of the way indeed added a special touch to my experience. Talking about the ambience here, it is fantastic and it gives an extremely cozy vibes Overall, I must say it’s one of the best places to relax and chill with friends or family :)
fantastic place to grab a drink in the afternoon, staff were welcoming and up for a chat, knowledgeable about the ales and whisky. very welcoming atmosphere, especially with all the candles and fairy lights.
Such a great pub with fun and joy vibes. I enjoyed food with my lovely family here food and service was amazing. Particularly staff is so kind with customer.So definitely you must try this place. And make wonderful memories from Marquis of Granby.
Too busy. It doesn't lend itself well to large attendances. The service was more than adequate but that was before the masses descended. I've been on another occasion at lunch time and found it way more comfortable.
The atmosphere of this pub was very cozy on a slow night. My friends and I had some good drinks and enjoyed the pub after a long day. The staff was friendly and I really appreciated the inclusivity with the pride flags hanging around the bar.
