Great pub, lovely atmosphere inside, play area outside. Staff are always lovely and great. Table service and great food. My son is coeliac, and I am very comfortable eating here and have done several times over the last few years. Love it!!
This was our 'go-to' place when staying in Croyde and always enjoyed our food and experience here however this time will unfortunately be our last. We got seated in quite a nice quiet area (or so we thought) - we received our drinks quickly BUT it then took 20 minutes for our food order to be taken then a further 45 minutes for the food to arrive. Food is very overpriced and an OK quality at best. About 30 minutes into our dining experience, a table of 15 people got seated opposite us, they were extremely loud, rude and the staff didn't do anything to stop them. We had hoped to stay after our meal for a few drinks and enjoy our the final day of our holiday but this was ruined and we left straight after our main meal. Overall experience was extremely poor and we will not return again. One word to sum up our experience - Disappointing
We've found a new pub. We've been going to Croyde for a few years now and didn't know it had 3 pubs. Place is lovely and I'm looking forward to going there again. Food and service was fantastic. Looks like it has a big outdoor area out back with a games room which would be great in summer. See you in the summer.
We stopped by for dinner on a Friday night whilst staying in Braunton. The pub had a lovely vibe, very chilled and friendly. Every member is staff we spoke to was so lovely (even when confronted with our barky dachshund who did eventually settle down for a nap!) We ordered the rump steak and a burger for mains and the sticky toffee pudding and salted caramel brownie for dessert. Everything was delicious and the portions were very generous (honestly the biggest onion rings I’ve ever seen). We wouldn’t hesitate to come back if we’re ever back in the area!
Went for dinner on Saturday evening. There was a bit of a wait for food as it was very busy, but definitely worth it. I had chicken supreme and my husband and son had the curry. All tasted lovely. Would recommend a visit. Will be returning.
