Absolutely fabulous place. Amazing service, our waitress couldn't have been more helpfull, great food, good sized portions, good choice, even a dog menu. The Maltings is one of the most dog friendly pubs I have been too.
Although it belongs to the Greene King group, it is so different from the one in Chapelford - the food, the vibe, the settings and even dogs are welcome. The Yorkie wrap is simply amazing! The lady said it was sold out at first and somehow she was able to find one for us so that we could try this. The gammon steak with pineapple and fried egg was delicious as well. Sports TV was on, friendly dogs were sniffing around - oh, they even had a dog menu for your pooch!
Great food sensational best roast dinner great pub cosy and beautiful location and surroundings also dog friendly, lovely staff.
We visited from Stoke on trent so the first thing I needed to do was use the toilet. Only to find there wasn't a single toilet roll in sight. There wasn't even any soap in the dispenser so I could wash my hands before the meal. Food took nearly an hour so I approached the bar and was told it was just being plated up. Waited a few more minutes and they bought out cold food. You can see from the state of the brioche bun and the grease on the lettuce leaf that this wasn't the best of meals.
Great pub. Dog friendly and superb staff. We went for a catch up lunch. Staff were friendly and conscious of making sure we enjoyed our meal. Typical pub food, tasty and reasonably priced.
