Fabulous stay from start to finish, very welcoming and informative man on reception, arrived early but the room was ready, very clean modern and well presented. My only constructive person observation was perhaps to add coat hangers in the rooms (but ample Wardrobe space so not really an issue) Good service in the bar too and love the idea of the alcohol vending machine for a “night cap” after a night out. Breakfast included was amazing too can’t fault and will be back again. Top marks to the staff, hopefully they are getting paid well
My partner and i stayed 3 nights in the club room on arrival was greated by friendly staff. On entering room found the room to be quite dark room was large with lovely views over the river tay,the bed was large king with lovely mattress 😴 there was a fridge iron ironing board tea and coffee ( not keen on coffee bags) expresso coffee also available lovely big bathroom with separate bath and shower. On a negative side the room above was very noisy due to creaking floor boards as was our floor boards and I get its an old building but did disturb our sleep but our stay was lovely restaurant, bar,lounge were beautiful cocktails were lovely 😍 bar staff friendly chatty would have no hesitation to booking again
We ate in the Brasserie. It was not busy at all, service was not well-informed but polite and friendly. Food was hot and fresh and tasty but overall over 2 hours for a 3 course meal.
Service was perfect. Attention to detail amazing. There were 50 of us too 😂 Rooms clean and functional. Really handy for waterfront, train station and city centre.
Unfortunately, I don't even have to wait to leave to give them 3 stars. The reception desk at check-in time only had one person and he was tied up forever working the bill for someone who seems to be a long-term resident. It took over 20 minutes to even be acknowledged all while wondering if we were going to get a £100 parking ticket. That's right, there's no parking at the hotel and no valet, you are left to your own devices. There is a luggage drop off area that they don't police so it was full of cars when we were the only ones waiting to check in. The Signature Suite is beautiful and awesome, except.... no luggage racks. How low class can you get to make us pick up our clothes from the floor in your best suite? And a nice selection at the mini bar with no price list but the receptionist says that they aren't included? The same receptionist couldn't be bothered to get us a price list until we asked multiple times. We met someone at the bar who had stayed in the same room many times and says that there shouldn't be any charges for the mini bar or breakfast which is also not included for us. My wife asked me to mention that there is no plug within reach of either of the two mirrors, both of them poorly lit, to use a hair dryer. Forego housekeeping for a day and get a discount at the bar. Ok, I'm game, but then the bartender short pours every hard alcohol drink in front of you, but not wine or cider. It's absolutely ridiculous. There's potential and they have obviously spent a lot of money to outfit the facilities only to waste it all by missing the little details and cheat their patrons.
