It was boxing day so my friend and I did not expect to find anywhere to eat, we just called in on the off chance without booking. The carvery was amazing, the staff were so helpful and it was probably the best piece of Gammon I have ever tasted, what a great place and value for money.
Since it's been revamped and under new management it's amazing. The landlady is the friendliest pub lady I've met and she makes you feel so welcomed. We went for a carvery which was yummy, again the tall lady at the counter, cannot fault her, lovely with a big friendly attitude and smile, loved it! Bonus points doggies are welcome, there's a massive garden at the back too so plenty of space.
Came here for work.....WOW This place is stunning, exceptionally high standard of cleaning throughout, the cleaning staff here should be commended... The kitchen although will used looks like new spotlessly clean !! The Halloween decorations are fantastic this venue has a huge beer garden with children's play areas and climbing frame... Huge carpark and a carvery deck. I wish this place was closer to home cause this is everything you could want from a local pub. Land lady was very welcoming and clearly takes a lot of pride in the place. What a beautiful place to spend a few hours and grab some me time with the kids. Pool table and sports for all round entertainment. Heated smoking area
Did originally come for a carvey and have been for a few times and it just seems that it's been getting progressively worse. It seems that the kitchen was in utter chaos. I decided to have a burger as the carvey just didn't look appealing but this burger took just over an hour to make and when it came it just looked boring and not how it looked advertised. Obviously everyone has bad days l, so I will try this place again and see if standards have improved, the issues didn't just stop at the food, the servers just didn't look happy and and you could tell there was some bad atmosphere here, I genuinely felt like we were at a Karen's restaurant but without the foul language 🤷 so I will try this place again to give it a second chance.
WOW WOW WOW what can I start with? Well the carvery is AMAZING myself and my partner had a carvery we had turkey and Oh my absolutely delicious! My daughter had a lasagna salad and garlic and that was stunning she polished the lot and also had a beautiful ice cream sundae to finish it off (compliments to thee chef)! The drinks are reasonable but the ambiance and the staff are second to none! Honestly couldn’t do enough for us! A very special THANK YOU 😊 to Yvonne and family for welcoming us and can’t wait to do it all over again soon! My eldest already wants to try a challenge! Well its coming up for nearly 2 years in the Little Acorn, and I will be honest its been a hard 2 years, with tears of joy and tears of sadness, The pub is going from strength to strength and we thank you for supporting us and value you custom.
