Just what we wanted for a quiet weekday beer and a bite this time, but we've also been here at weekends when it's busier and it's just as good then. Check for the regular food and drink specials to get some excellent value for money too 👍

Popped in for lunch today, food was excellent plenty of choice and a recommendation from the waitress and chef we opted for the vegan salt and pepper chicken with peppers truly delicious. Sister enjoyed chicken katsu which she really enjoyed. Great friendly service. Definitely be returning 😋

Thought we would try the Meraki restaurant for Sunday breakfast. I, along with 3 others, had the all-day breakfast, which was good. Another had the "build a bagel" which they were disappointed with. The black pudding was a bit overdone and too crispy for our liking, but that's just preference. We were there just after 11 am and were the only ones in the restaurant. It would have been nice to have a pot of tea with our breakfast rather than a paying for a cup of tea each time.

A lovely family restaurant with a nice bar attached. Food was hot, plentiful and delicious. Fish was fresh and well cooked but burger was definitely standard defrosted catering stuff, although cooked well. Service was friendly and attentive.

Our menus at The Mains of Scotstown Inn can offer you a number of experiences.

The meat lover is spoilt with a choice of Scotch beef steaks and game, and being by the sea we have a great selection of local fresh fish, from Panseared Hand Dived Orkney Scallops to start, or the very popular Mains Funcy Fash.

Vegetarians also won’t be dissapointed and although the menu is quite small the variety of dishes are well thought out and offer a number of very different choices. Round off with something sweet from our homemade sweets, our take on the classic individual Baked Alaska, or our award winning Sticky Toffee Pudding to name a couple.

We also offer private dinning where we can taylor menus to most budgets and tastes so please ask if you likesomething but don't see it on the menus.
