Be forewarned it's one of those long narrow types with the bar creating a choke point that makes escape a little difficult. That being said it's a good old fashioned bar with good music, good banter, solid furniture and a drink menu that has nice variety without getting overly faffy or fancy. Well maintained and presented with lovely staff. Great location too.

We came into an empty pub. We asked to sit at the table by the window, and it was covered in food and grime and was already set. Other than my espresso martini, everything else was horrific. The halloumi fries were literally freezing, cold shoestring fries with cold chunks of cheese on top of them. The nachos came out freezing cold with hardened cheese as well and hardly any toppings. I think I understand now why it was empty

It was a cozy place to sit and enjoy a meal after a rainy day. The waiter was really friendly, he recommended us good beer. The food was also pretty good :)

They have my favourite cider there! Can only recommend. My friend and I shared the loaded nachos and they were really good. Loads of sauces to dip the nachos in. The only thing I disliked was, that one dude seemed to work more than the other bartenders. They were mostly just standing behind the bar while one guy served the guests. Also the counter was filled with glasses (it wasn't really busy) which made the place look untidy. Otherwise it's a nice bar in a good location.

Great fish and chips and cocktails, classic bar fare. Unfortunately our waiter lied to us and said it was "illegal to order meat cooked to a specific temperature in Scotland" and my pregnant friend was served an undercooked burger after she asked for it well done. They definitely could have been more accommodating.
