First time ever visiting in 30+yes of drinking in Wolves. Really friendly staff and customers, reminiscent of pubs I worked in, in my youth. 2-3 groups of strangers sharing a table and dipping in and out of each others conversations. Good selection of beers at reasonable prices. Although the first visit it definitely won't be our last, a true gem.
It was like a family tavern, we felt at home with my friends, we were even invited to celebrate with his niece on her birthday and share in the joy of the cake. I did love to visit it again and again. It's just about the corner of Barclays Bank. It very neat and friendly environment. I felt warmth, both in my body and my emotions. I wished I had a picture of the birthday song we sand I did would have loved to post it
This is a pub with a nice aesthetic reminiscent of a by gone era. Nice patrons. Nice staff. A great selection of custom ales reasonably priced. If you like a quiet nice looking venue with old wooden beams and an authentic feel. Then this is a gem in the city of Wolverhampton.
Excellent Black Country Brewery pub about 10 minutes walk from Wolverhampton Station. Seven cask beers - and 1 cider - on handpump when I last visited including a porter and a mild. Lots of outdoor seating some of it covered. The Georgian frontage of the pub dates from 1726 while the timber framed rear is 16th century. Busy but not impossibly so before and after the Spurs game at Molineux.
Beautiful little traditional pub with a range of real ales on pull and a good choice of quality cobs behind the bar for sale. Friendly bar staff a clean pub and friendly customer atmosphere. There are 46 pubs on the black country trail this is one of them. I would definitely recommend this pub to stop off and enjoy the beers . Carl
